Freedom Park, is the Star Scrap Metals second, larger 26 000 m2 yard in Devland, Johannesburg, it is used predominantly for the recycling of plastics and paper scrap. A large percentage of our products are recovered from landfill sites and informal traders.. 
 

Freedom Park Recycling cc was found in 2002 as the waste recycling arm of Star Scrap Metals. Situated in Devland south of Johannesburg, Freedom Park is ideally position below Goudkoppies landfill site and actively participates in prolonging the life span of this very busy dumping ground.

Although previously being a big player in waste paper, Freedom Park management took a conscious decision to stop trading in paper and shift its focus onto PLASTIC and METAL, with much success.

Boasting a property size of 26 000 m2 and 3600 m2 undercover Freedom Park has the sound infrastructure to handle any volumes that may arise, including 5 trucks, Daewoo 220 LC excavator, 980 CAT font-end-wheel loader and a H40 baling press to process the various materials.
